A great source for inspiration are artbooks whether they are focused on one artist or an artbook focusing on concept art of a certain movie. In this review I’ll be looking at a little gem called The Marvel Art of Gabriele Dell’Otto, an artbook by the Italian painter who currently works exclusively for Marvel Comics.

A few years ago I was looking for an artist to design a few concepts for a character. Through DeviantArt I stumbled upon a gallery filled with some incredible illustrations and I knew right away that this was the man I had been looking for. That man’s name is Walter O’Neal and he is a sculptor, painter and he currently works as a concept artist at DC Direct. A while ago five apartment buildings were up for demolition, during that time I didn’t have a digital camera so it was impossible for me to take some shots. As time progressed four buildings were demolished and only one building was left. In the meantime I got a hold of a camera and had to hurry a bit as this building would be gone in a week.
