I have had some great responses on my first poster giveaway but only one was the absolute best. Fortunately there were more comments then I could have imagined so I want to thank all of you for participating! And the winner is…

First of all, I love all the details you’ve put in this poster so excellent work! Second, I just moved to a new student apartment where I’m currently studying Graphic Design. Your site is a great help to all of us that want to learn but hate theory books!

INFICTUS v.2 – Redesign Online

The redesign is finally online. In the past few months I have started to create a more stable content stream, so to say. While my blog is still small and new, I hope to make it much bigger and better. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Improvements

It took a few months but it’s here, now you might be wondering; “Your blog is brand new, why a new theme so quickly?”. I had started to create this blog about a year and a half ago but due to personal reasons I couldn’t keep updating the posts so often. As time passed by, other design blogs became much more modernized, streamlined and up to date. While the new theme is online, I will continue to tweak and change (just a little bit!) the theme for better reading and optimization.

The Plan

The plan is to post a new Photoshop tutorial every week, ranging from text effects to full movie poster tutorials. The reason for this is because the movie poster tutorials take a long time to create and write. Right now, I am doing everything by myself so that is a lot of new content to write and prepare. In addition to tutorials, I will also post interviews with Hollywood professionals, art book reviews, free stock photograph sets and a lot more!

What’s Going on With Infictus and a Sneak Peek at the New Design!

Hey guys, currently I have been having some major issues with my blog, I’m working on a redesign and a server change. As you might have noticed I have stopped adding new content but that will all change when the new design is online. I’m extremely busy these days and I’m excited to announce that I’m writing a movie poster tutorial for PSDtuts!

Anyway, I just wanted to keep you updated and let you know that all is going according to plan. The site might go offline for a few days but that’s because of the much needed server change. If you want to see the sneak peek, continue reading!

Welcome to Infictus.com and thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Paul Poppenburg and I’m a 23-year old graphic designer from the Netherlands. I originally started this blog to showcase some of my work but that idea changed quickly as I noticed there isn’t alot of information available on the internet about movie posters and the creation process behind it.

I want to share the knowledge I’ve gathered over the years so you can expect a huge amount of tutorials and articles which are not only focused on movie posters but a variety of things.
